About Home Tool Creatives: Real Talk for Real Projects
Let’s be honest for a second. Most home improvement sites are written by people who have never actually held a hammer or spent a weekend sweating over a clogged drain. They use fancy words and try to sell you tools you don’t need. We’re tired of that.
Home Tool Creatives is run by two guys, Haroon Hassan and Asim Shahzad, who actually enjoy getting their hands dirty. We aren’t “content creators” sitting in an office; we’re DIY enthusiasts, gardeners, and backyard obsessives. We’ve spent years figuring out what works in the kitchen, the garden, and the workshop so you don’t have to waste your time or money on things that don’t.
Meet the Team
- Haroon Hassan: Haroon doesn’t believe in “good enough.” He’s spent over a decade turning messy backyards into functional spaces and rebuilding kitchens because most professional contractors do a half-hearted job anyway. He’s a gardening and backyard expert who treats a lawn like a high-stakes engineering project. He knows the technical side of home repair inside out—from the specific torque of a power drill to exactly why your patio stones are shifting. He’s the guy who stays in the garden until 2 AM figuring out a drainage issue because he refuses to let a patch of dirt win. If it’s a lawnmower, a raised bed, or a structural beam, Haroon has likely dismantled it and fixed it for good.
- Asim Shahzad: Asim is the reason our backyards actually look decent and stay green. He treats soil like a science experiment and has spent years figuring out both traditional dirt-in-fingernails gardening and modern indoor hydroponic systems. He’s killed enough plants to fill a small landfill, which is exactly why he knows what actually works and what’s just expensive marketing junk. From testing water pH levels on the kitchen counter to designing functional outdoor retreats, Asim handles the “living” part of the home. He won’t give you fluffy advice; he’ll tell you why your plants are dying and how to fix the dirt so they actually survive the season.
I get why this is confusing. Most people were taught this wrong. You’re told that you need the most expensive power tool or a degree in botany to have a nice home. That’s a scam. Most of the time, you just need the right measurement and a bit of common sense.
What We Actually Do (And Why It Matters)
We don’t do fluff. We provide research-backed guides and real-world “hacks” that actually work. If a tool is junk, we’ll tell you. If a gardening method is a waste of water, we’ll say so.
Our focus areas include:
- Gardening & Landscaping: We help you keep your lawn alive and your garden productive.
- Hydroponics: Growing food without soil isn’t magic; it’s just science. We break it down.
- DIY & Home Repair: Fix your own stuff. Stop overpaying contractors for things you can do in twenty minutes.
- Kitchen & Tool Guides: We test the gear so you can choose the right stuff the first time.
We Built the Tools You Actually Need
We got tired of guessing how much material to buy for our own projects. That’s why we built our Home Tool Calculators. These aren’t fancy toys; they’re practical tools to save you a headache at the hardware store.
Before you start your next project, use these:
- Figure out your dirt needs with the Raised Bed Soil Calculator.
- Stop overbuying bark with the Mulch Calculator.
- Get your measurements right with our Concrete Calculator.
- Manage your backyard oasis using the Pool Volume Calculator.
Our No-Nonsense Approach
