At Home Tool Creatives, we don’t just write about tools and gardens—we actually use them. The internet is full of generic advice written by people who wouldn’t know a philips head screwdriver from a flathead. We think that’s a problem. Our goal is to give you honest, tested, and mathematically accurate information so you can finish your projects without a headache.

Our Content Standards

I get why this is confusing. Most people were taught this wrong—they think that more words mean better advice. We don’t believe in fluff. Every guide on this site is reviewed by our lead experts, Haroon Hassan and Asim Shahzad.

  • Hands-on Experience: Haroon handles the technical side of DIY and backyard builds. Asim handles the science of soil and hydroponics. We don’t publish “theory.” We publish what happened when we actually tried the project ourselves.
  • Originality: We don’t copy-paste from other sites. We take our own photos, do our own research, and write from our own failures and successes.
  • Clarity: We keep it simple. If a project is hard, we’ll tell you it’s hard. We won’t sugarcoat the work.

Accuracy in Data and Tools

I get why this is confusing. Most people were taught this wrong—they think a “rough guess” is fine for backyard projects. But if you’re off by an inch in construction, the whole thing falls apart.

This is why we built our Home Tool Calculators. We spent a lot of time making sure the logic behind these is solid. Whether you’re using the Raised Bed Soil Calculator or the Concrete Calculator, you’re getting numbers based on real-world physics and math, not just random guesses.

Our other tools, like the Mulch Calculator and the Pool Volume Calculator, follow the same strict standards. We use them for our own chores, so we make sure they work.

Honesty and Ethics

Google likes transparency, and so do we. We don’t let brands tell us what to write. If we review a tool and it’s junk, we’re going to say it’s junk. We don’t care if that makes the manufacturer unhappy. Our loyalty is to you, the person actually spending money on these things.

We don’t use AI to “generate” our thoughts. A machine hasn’t felt the weight of a sledgehammer or the frustration of a garden pest infestation. We have.

Keeping Content Fresh

I get why this is confusing. Most people were taught this wrong—they think an article written in 2010 is still good today. Methods change. New pests appear. Better tools are invented.

We keep an eye on our Publication Page to ensure old info doesn’t stay stale. You can find our latest research and project logs in the News and Updates section. If we find an error in an old post, we fix it immediately.

Corrections and Feedback

We’re human. We might miss a typo or a new update in gardening science once in a while. If you see something that doesn’t look right, or if one of our calculators gave you a weird result, we want to hear about it.

Don’t just ignore it. Reach out to us at [email protected]. We take your feedback seriously because we want Home Tool Creatives to be the most reliable corner of the DIY web.
